Madly, madly, madly...

Loving these fashion photographs (and clothes!) from Gruhche

the designer lives in Utah and Idaho

but says she spends a lot of time in Vienna, Austria

I wonder if she's met my friends

and that's all I need to know...
know, know, know
madly, madly, madly...

Adios Autumn

It may have been winter now for a bit, but it still doesn't always quite feel like it in Tennessee.  Thank you 70 degree weather.

Either way, I'm sure the temperature will regulate out to cold sometime soon, so here's a little sendoff to fall with some warm autumn hues from inside.  I'll just hope winter brings snow - just doesn't quite feel the same without it after living in Colorado.

I'll see you all Friday, Happy Thanksgiving!

...sometimes it'd be nice to just sit and stare
sit and stare...
sit and stare away...

As cozy as an apple

I stumbled upon these apple cozies the other day in Cuffe Shop and am still finding them amusing!

Or, perhaps, you'd prefer an apple pouch instead

I think they were made with the teacher in mind, but I really like this little pouch myself!

...maybe I should be a teacher
mmm, maybe not...

Hoooly Hotel!

I'm obsessed!  I saw this just last week; but man it's cool.

HOW is this a hotel?  It may not seem like the ritziest hotel around, but if you're into unique or economy spaces, this might be the perfect place for you to check out; or should I say, "check-in"?

Here you have it ladies and gentlemen, Portland's own Ace Hotel:

Or, if you prefer, Seattle

Or New York

Or yes, if none of those suit you, Palm Springs

...yep, I think I'd do just fine on that patio
just fine in deed...

Polaroid Partiality

Well, I'm about to begin working on my collection, but luckily I remembered I hadn't blogged for the morning...

So I open up Etsy; when what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature Polaroid, 8 tiny when near!!

Okay, so maybe it's not Christmas quite yet, but wouldn't these make for some fun cards?

Or hey, why not just use them as decorations?
I love the look of hanging pictures on a clothes line with wooden clips (I actually painted some to hang black and white photographs when I was out in Colorado)!

A calendar would make for a great gift too though...and check out the inside!
Or a photograph of Salvador Dali's original boat, named after his wife (and muse!)
docked at Portlligat bay!  How cool is that?!

Oh, and for those of your wondering, I have made it to day 3 of boot camp
(thank you alarm clock).
But, alas, time to finish the latte and get to sewing!  Bed, I will see you tonight...

Thank you Ella K Sverdlov for this inspiring photography.

Happy Wednesday, everyone!
...can't believe another week has almost flown by again
2 weeks and my collection will be finished...
2 weeks.
2 weeks.
2 weeks.
